Banrock Station The Boardwalk
Environmental responsibility
Apart from creating an extensive range of quality wines, Banrock Station also enjoys a deserved reputation as being environmentally responsible by re-investing profits to fund conservation projects worldwide. Currently, that commitment is more than $6 million to over 130 projects in 13 countries around the world.
One such project is the Banrock Station Wetland Biodiversity Project in the South Australian Riverland which formed the basis of a brief to promote and raise awareness of this important Murray River aquatic ecosystem.
Tucker Creative was tasked with creating packaging for a range of six wines available exclusively via cellar door. We highlighted Banrock Station’s unique boardwalk and the unique flora and fauna endemic to this wetland’s ecosystem by depicting one unique flora and fauna pairing per varietal.
Along with a bold metallic depiction of the Banrock Station branding, the final labels and complementary carton design are beautifully illustrated utilising two different techniques. Accompanying information on the reverse label explains the correlation between the two. The simple line through ‘the boardwalk’ lettering subtly reinforces the form of the boardwalk itself.
